About Anthony

Anthony is the composer and lyricist of the musical Life’s A Circus, which has received 3 Green Room nominations (including Best New Australian Musical), 2 Pratt Prize shortlists, featured in
Short, Sweet & Song and OzMade Musicals. In collaboration with book writer Peter Fitzpatrick and directed by Kris Stewart, the Australian Premiere production was staged at TheatreWorks in
September 2009.

Anthony studied piano and composition from the age of six. He furthered his skills at Monash University, majoring in Contemporary Piano, and Musical Theatre. He has won numerous song
competitions including: The International Year Of Tolerance, ASA National Songwriting Contest (1998, 2000, 2003).

Anthony’s first musical John & Sarah, in collaboration with Mary Anne McCormack, was also short-listed for the Pratt Prize for Music Theatre and premiered at Chapel Off Chapel in 2002. That
same year he consulted as a composer on the Australian Production of The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe.

In 2004, Anthony again collaborated with Mary-Anne McCormack on BOXED-IN, which was produced by the Victorian College of the Arts in 2004 under the Direction of Martin Croft and
Musical Direction of Tim Smith.

Anthony is currently collaborating with book writer and lyricist James Miller to develop The Effect Of Alchemy, an adaptation of the worlds best selling novel – The Alchemist by author Paul Coehelo and more recently, Partners - an edgy, contemporary comedy by playwright Peter Fitzpatrick.
